This whale is a 8" x 5.5" (20.32 x 12.7 cm) base. It is a thinner plaque at 1/4" (0.64 cm) thick.
That makes it great for lighter projects, including painting and decoupaging. It can also be used for mosaicing.
It is flat on both sides, so you can use it facing in either direction.
It is recommended that you seal dense fiberboard prior to using it. A clear sealant or a even a sligthly diluted high quality white glue (such as Weldbond) will work.
The project tile surface area is approximately 22".
