This jar plaque is a 8" x 4-3/4" (20.3 x 12.1 cm) rigid dense fiber board base. It is thinner than many other surfaces at 1/4" (0.635 cm) thick.
That makes it great for lighter projects, including painting and decoupaging. I've seen these used with fluid pour painting with outstanding results! It can also be used for mosaicing.
It is recommended that you seal dense fiberboard prior to using it. A clear sealant or even a slightly diluted high quality white glue (such as Weldbond) will work.
